Notes: Vashon Island freshman Savannah Krug overcame tumor surgery at the beginning of the season to qualify for the 1A girls race. … Tanner Larson, a senior from Seattle Lutheran, took up cross country this season to get in shape for basketball. He won Sea-Tac League and tri-district meet titles. … King’s girls, led by junior Olivia Thomas, won the 1A title last year and return all their runners. … Seattle Prep sophomore Drew O’Donoghue-McDonald is the younger brother of Max, a two-time state champion for the Panthers who is running at Washington. … Lake Stevens senior Joey Bywater was the 4A boys runner-up last year.
